The Role of the Governing Body at Ecton Brook Primary School

The EBPS Governing Body is made up of individuals that are passionate about the education of the children within the community and meeting their needs within the changing landscape of Modern Britain. The Governors have various backgrounds, and bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the Governing Body.‍

Governors are responsible for overseeing the management side of a school: strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. Ecton Brook Primary School Governing Body enable the school to run as effectively as possible, working alongside senior leaders and supporting teachers to provide excellent education to children.

Governor Profiles

The school Governing Body consists of Local Authority, Community, staff and Parent Governors. Our Parent Governors are elected by parents and serve a term of four years.  Any vacancies that arise are filled by election as rapidly as possible to ensure that parents always have full representation on the Governing Body.

In compliance with EFA guidelines regarding the disclosure of Business interests, linked is a table outlining Governors Pecuniary Interests.

We are fortunate to have a strong and supportive Governing Body who have a range of skills and experience which bring value to our school. As Head Teachers we are proud to be part of a dedicated team of staff who support all of our children in achieving their full potential.”
